Preschool Ministry serves children ages 2 through pre-k (year prior to k-garten)

Purpose of Preschool Ministry and your child’s experience

• To help each child feel comfortable and special
• To help each child feel secure with adults who love and care for him/her
• Scripture, songs, lessons, and God-centered conversation and curriculum
• Snack – Goldfish crackers and lemonade (please alert us of any allergies)
• Age-appropriate Bible based activities
• To encourage the active participation of parents in worship, Bible study and other activities

Preschool Ministry Classes Available During…

• Sunday worship services (9:15 & 10:45)
• Some special events

Where We Gather

• Preschool classes are located on the main level, with the exception of pre-k class being located on lower level

Room Designations

• Classrooms are divided according to birth date as well as per student/teacher ratio
• Curriculum is designed to meet the ability of the age range in the classroom

Check-In Procedures & Safety Assurance Policy

First-Time Visitors

• We have a security system in place to protect your children
• Check in at the Guest check-in desk next to the preschool area where there is a designated area just for visitors
• You will be asked to give name, phone number, address, child’s birth date, and any other special instructions if necessary
• You will be given a name tag for your child and a claim card
• Once we have your information and you place the name tag on your child you may take him/her into the preschool area, through the swinging door (please only 1 adult per claim card in the preschool area)
• Your next Sunday back, you may then begin to check in your child on your own.  We have greeters ready to help you when needed. *If you have any instructions for a particular Sunday, such as parent location, etc, you may type it in under parent’s instruction, under your child’s name.

If we need to contact you to return to your child for any reason during the service, we will display your child’s claim number (located on corner of claim card) on the big screen in the main worship area.  Each child within your family should have the same number.  Therefore a letter will precede the displayed claim number, alerting you as to which area to return to:  N – nursery, P – preschool, and E – elementary.

*If you will be in an area of the church other than the main worship area, please check-in at a computer with an attached keyboard, where you may note the room number we may find you in.

Members & Attenders

• You may check in at any computer at the Preschool check-in desk
• You will receive a name tag for your child, a claim card used to pick up your child after Sunday School and a property tag if needed to label belongings

End of Service

• Please pick up your child before doing any extended visiting after the service
• When picking up your child, the claim card is required at his/her classroom
• Additionally, as previously mentioned, we ask that only one parent per claim card enter the preschool area.  This both increases security measures and keeps the hallway less congested.
