Ministry & Serving Opportunities
We have a number of opportunities for you to serve alongside others from Cherry Hills. To find out more, click here.
LEGO Play Day
This month, the elementary ministry has been learning that God is our Master Builder. Like building with LEGOs, when we only have a few pieces, it’s hard to see the big picture. But we can trust in God’s plan for our life. To celebrate our month of learning, K-5th graders are invited to a LEGO Play Day on Wednesday, July 25 from 2:30-4:00 pm. For safety, parents need to drop off their child downstairs at the dock for this event. Check out the Cherry Hills Children’s Ministry Facebook page for more information.
End Of Summer Bash
The Family & Children’s Ministry invite you to join us Friday, August 10, from 7:30-10:00 pm for the “End of Summer Bash” at the KC pool (2200 S. Meadowbrook Rd.) Before the school year launches, relax and enjoy an evening poolside with other Cherry Hills families. Admission is free. Food & treats will be available for purchase.
Families with children of all ages are invited to join the fun! KC Pool has a zero-depth entry and a large shallow pool with splash fountains perfect for young children. For safety, lifeguards will be on duty. Dinner is available for purchase through KC Hall. Beverages and treats are available at the concession stand. Unfortunately, outside food and drink are not permitted.
For more information, contact Jessica (JessicaS@cherryhillsfmaily.org) or here to RSVP.
Eutychus Summer Book Club
This summer Pastor Steve is once again hosting the “Eutychus Book Club.” Who is Eutychus? Eutychus was the young man in Acts 20:9 who fell asleep and fell from the window while Paul was speaking (thankfully he was raised back to life).
This Eutychus club is meant to stimulate “sleepy” disciples by inviting them to participate in conversations about 21st century faith matters. The hope is that this will sharpen our focus as we attempt to glorify God in our lives and in the church.
The next book we will be reading is The Benedict Option by Rod Dreher (you need to purchase the book on your own). No book has caused as much controversy in the Christian world in the last two years as this one! We will meet to discuss why at 6:30 a.m., August 8 at The Rock (coffee provided!). Please come having it read and be ready for discussion (note: this is not a class, it’s a discussion).
If you plan on attending or have any questions, please email Pastor Steve at email@example.com so we can have an accurate count.
